My nurse just came in, after 30 minutes of my call button. My IV alert has been going off this whole time, so I'm wide awake now.
My last stool sample showed c-diff infection. That's what is causing all the diarrhea (which continues and gets more whenever i have formula). They say its very common here in the hospital, especially with a low immune system, which is why they kept testing up. I have to wash hands well; alcohol won't kill it. So glad they found this now, as I'm still going to the bathroom frequently. It would not have been good to go home, have this continue and be back. Thank God! They are giving me a new IV bag, and starting me on oral antibiotics (a good sign to still go home).
